PDI and Saba Form Alliance and Announce Performance Framework, Saba Edition
Solution Combines Industry-Leading Unified People Management Platform and Competency Content to Enhance Talent Management Initiatives

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. and MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—October 10, 2007—Personnel Decisions International (PDI), a global leader in human resources consulting, and Saba Software, Inc. (NASAQ:SABA), the premier people management software and services provider, today announced that they have formed an alliance to offer PDI’s premier integrated competency architecture on Saba’s people management platform, Saba Enterprise. As a result of this alliance, today the companies also announced the availability of Performance Framework, Saba Edition. By integrating PDI competencies into Saba’s people management platform, organizations can build custom competency models to facilitate employee development, growth, promotion and retention.

“Organizations with demanding talent management needs require robust, unified people management technology,” said R.J. Heckman, Ph.D., general manager and vice president for Personnel Decisions International. “The goal of our alliance with Saba is to help our clients make high-quality decisions about talent to achieve a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”

Through this alliance, PDI provides tailored competency content to be used within Saba’s people management platform, Saba Enterprise 5.4. Performance Framework, Saba Edition, includes pre-packaged, level-specific models that reflect organizational roles ranging from individual contributor through senior executive. Saba’s platform leverages these models to enable customers to move beyond standard competency modeling to incorporate competencies into strategic talent management. Performance Framework, Saba Edition, also incorporates performance measurement and fuels development across all levels of an organization, enabling customers to implement talent management initiatives quickly and effectively to align employee efforts with corporate goals.

“A powerful competency library is a key component of a strategic people management solution,” said A.G. Lambert, vice president product marketing for Saba. “By forming an alliance with PDI, Saba is able to bring to market leading competency models to enable better talent decisions that help drive organizational success.”
